I came to editing via graphic design in 2018, apprenticing under the editor of my mother's book, which I designed and formatted. I brought that one-on-one approach to my editing projects—meeting each author where they're at and giving them and their story personalized attention—and built on that experienced by earning a book coaching certification in fiction from Author Accelerator in 2025. I have considerable experience in customer service, an AS degree in graphic design, and a BS degree in advertising and copy writing.
I've worked on both fiction and nonfiction, but I am passionate about speculative fiction—particularly character-driven sci-fi, fantasy, thriller/suspense, horror, and cozy variants. And being a fan of audiobooks and podcasts, I tend to also process language on an auditory level, often reading aloud as I edit (in the privacy of my home office). What's it like to work with me?
